Hy-Drive Technologies Ltd. is a company that produces Hydrogen Injection systems to be used in conjunction with virtually all types of Internal Combustion engines. Shaw is exploring the use of these systems in its transportation fleet. A pilot phase is projected to begin by late 2006. Based on numerous trials we've performed on a wide variety of highway tractor engines, including those monitored by the PeopleNet Performex tracking system, our hydrogen injection systems have shown impressive performance enhancements, including: fuel savings; horsepower improvement; approximately 75% reduction in hydrocarbons; over 80% reduction in particulate matter; as much as a 90% reduction in carbon monoxide; and a reduction in nitrous oxides.
