INITIATIVE | 018 At Shaw, we're looking into ways to conserve resources and lessen our individual employees' impact on the environment whenever possible.
We're in the final stages of approving a document on standard operating procedures for At Home Remote Workers. Both IT Services and Customer Service could potentially take advantage of the new operation, and a pilot program for both departments is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2006. Reduced gas usage, lowered emissions and reduced traffic congestion are projected benefits of the program.
Smart thinking and logical business practices are one way we're lessening our environmental footprint. We're developing protocol that promotes sustainability at home and at work. That's a great Green Edge.
