INITIATIVE | 021 At Shaw, we're constantly improving the way we work. And we're continually testing ourselves to make sure we live up to our values, and the standards consumers demand.
The Shaw Quality Management System is a way of monitoring our processes to ensure conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements. Essentially, SQS is our Code of Conduct. Based in the third party certification standard ISO 9001, SQS is specific to Shaw's facilities, outputs, and to the requirements of the carpet industry. That makes SQS more rigorous and relevant, and it encourages us to constantly be on the lookout for opportunities to improve the quality of our systems.
At Shaw, we believe in progress by every means. While this is demonstrated through our growing list of initiatives, it is important to remember to step back, check and measure that progress. At Shaw, we have put in place the system to qualify our successes, and point out our failings. It's our way of knowing where we're doing well and where we can improve.
