Today, right across America, thousands of businesses are becoming part of our most ambitious initiative yet. Shaw is collecting 100 million pounds of post-consumer carpet waste and 10 million pounds of post-industrial carpet waste every year to supply our Evergreen Nylon Recycling Facility in Augusta, Georgia. As a result of this effort, we're diverting millions of pounds of waste from landfills and reducing the amount of raw material used in our manufacturing processes – all in order to provide the Evergreen facility with resources to begin its closed loop processing of Nylon 6 fiber.
By working with collectors throughout the United States, Shaw is creating a vast network for the reclamation of used carpet. That's a Shaw Green Edge® for the entire country.
