SHAW NAMED ONE OF GEORGIA'S TOP 10 BEST PLACES TO WORK

Dalton, GA – Shaw Industries Group, Inc. has been recognized as one of the 2010 "Best Places to Work" in the state of Georgia. Shaw is the only manufacturer in Georgia to be named to the list, published annually by Georgia Trend magazine.
The ten companies featured on this year's list were selected by editors through nominations submitted to the magazine. The editors highlighted commitments to work-life balance, community atmospheres and opportunities for employees as three of the common factors that distinguish the companies on this year's list, which features businesses from the financial, professional services, technology and medical sectors across the state.
Shaw's role as a sustainability leader within the flooring industry and beyond, and the company's obvious commitment to associate well-being, quality of life and professional advancement were some of the many reasons Shaw associates nominated the company.
"Economic declines in the housing industry have forced us to make painful cutbacks in the past year – however, we have attempted to handle with sensitivity and dignity," stated Shaw CEO Vance Bell. "But one thing we have not changed is our absolute commitment to our associates and to our local communities."
